Ferroli claims that it is the relentless consumer demand and the need to address climate change that keeps “Ferroli at the leading edge of appliance design”. Well, design may be a strong point for Ferroli boilers, but are they as reliable as they are aesthetically pleasing? If you’re reading this blog, you’re probably dubious about this claim.
Ferroli was established in 1955, by Dante Ferroli. The original head office is located in San Bonifacio, near the Italian city of Verona. Ferroli now operates in over 14 countries across Europe and Asia, becoming a known boiler manufacturer in the industry.
For over 60 years, Ferroli’s objective has been to drive innovations in the heating industry and produce highly efficient appliances, superbly built and suited to a wide range of specifications.
If you’re getting fed up with your boiler making strange noises or constantly flashing different lights at you, and think that any more money put into fixing your boiler would be wasted money; then get a new boiler quote from WarmZilla. Our online survey asks you a set of simple questions about your current boiler, and it will show you a list of boilers suitable for your heating needs. It only takes a few minutes.
With WarmZilla you can pay for your boiler using our boiler finance options. 0% APR finance is available over 2 years on selected boiler models. We guarantee to offer the cheapest combi boilers on the market.
Ferroli admits taking great pride in their ability to offer amazing service at all times, stating that all products are “produced entirely in-house”, which allows for “complete control over the quality, delivery and all-important aftersales”. Their products and service being so good that in 2017, the Ferroli BlueHelix Tech 25C was voted Best Boiler and Best Purchase in the Italian magazine, AltroConsumo.
If we take a look at their Trustpilot reviews, off the bat, they seem pretty good. With 3.9 out of 5 stars and over 70% of reviews being positive. However, when we delve a little deeper, the negative reviews consistently talk about poor efficiency and unreliability, going completely against Ferroi’s claims to be highly efficient and reliable.
In 2021, Which? conducted an annual boiler survey, gathering results from 12,000 boiler owners and 166 heating engineers. The results took into consideration the daily user experience and expert opinion. Which? categorised the scores into;
- Reliability Score
- Customer Score
- Engineer Recommendation
- Build Quality
- Availability of Parts
- Ease of Fixing Faults
- Ease of Servicing
Ferroli was scored the lowest of all brands in the survey with an overall score of 35%, compared to other boiler brands such as Vokera, who scored at least 50%. When breaking the scores down, Ferroli received;
- 3/5 Overall Reliability
- 1/5 Engineer Recommendation Score
- 2/5 Consumer Score
Overall, a pretty bad rating.
But I’m guessing you’re reading this blog, nodding your head, thinking, yes I already know.
