Honeywell Smart Thermostat Review

Honeywell Home Smart Thermostat Table Stand TR6

How good are Honeywell Thermostats?

What is a Honeywell Smart Thermostat? We look at the Honeywell T3R Programmable Wireless Thermostat and the Home Single Zone Connected Thermostat.

As one of the earliest pioneers of thermostats, Honeywell Home knows what they’re talking about when it comes to heating and home comfort.

A spin-off of Honeywell, Resideo, is a leading supplier of domestic heating controls in the UK. Their extensive product portfolio means there is a smart thermostat available for every homeowner and lifestyle.

Advances in technology and the boom in the use of mobile devices mean the heating controls of today are able to offer homeowners a whole host of additional features and benefits.

Rising household fuel bills have seen more homeowners turn to smart heating controls. Digital and programmable thermostats offer multiple temperature settings in different rooms or ‘zones’ of your home, at different times of day, to help improve the energy efficiency of a property. This not only reduces your carbon footprint but also goes a long way towards helping you save on your heating bills.

Let’s talk about what smart thermostats mean first.

What are smart thermostats?

Smart thermostats are the gear that connects your heating system to the internet so you can change your home temperature on the go (on your smartphone) or on your computer.

Keep in mind that they are not the same as smart metres, which most energy companies offer for free nowadays.

Smart thermostats are easy to install. You don’t need to call a heating engineer or your energy supplier.

Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats that feature OpenTherm technology – which means your boiler can essentially ‘talk’ to your thermostat to automatically adjust temperature flow – are now the most popular choice with homeowners. How cool is that!

To know the common features of smart thermostats, take a look at our blog.

The best smart thermostat brands in 2022 are; Google NestHive, Honeywell, Tado, Drayton and Netatmo.

Now let’s take a look at some of the options available to you when choosing a Honeywell Home thermostat from WarmZilla
