Potterton Boiler Error Codes / Fault Codes List

Glow Worm Boiler Reviews and Prices 2023

Potterton are known for producing reasonably priced, high-performance, reliable boilers that are built and designed with top-quality components. However, you may be feeling a little underwhelmed at the lack of reliability at the moment, due to the current issues with your boiler (unless you just enjoy reading boiler fault code pages).

This article will help you identify your boiler’s error/fault codes so that you can inform your Gas Safe Engineer what the issue is and get it sorted.

However, if you’ve had just about enough of your boiler breaking down or flashing lights at you and can’t fathom spending even more money getting it fixed, then get a boiler quote from WarmZilla. You can get a quote for a brand spanking new boiler in just a few minutes. All you need to do is answer some simple questions online about your current boiler, and we will provide you with a list of suitable boilers for your home.

Potterton is one of the oldest boiler brands and its history can be traced back as far as 1850. Thomas Potterton started the firm in Balham, London, and completed its first-ever gas boiler installation back in 1902.

Potterton is part of BDR Thermea Group, one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of heating and hot water products in Europe, operating in over 70 countries and employing over 6,000 people worldwide.

Potterton has a wide range of boilers to choose from, from their more standard core range, the Promax range, the Ultra Heat range, and the Assure range; to their more premium ranges, such as the Gold and Titanium range. Warranties vary from 1-7 years depending on the boiler model, with the more expensive range (the Gold and Titanium range) having 7 years warranty included.

However, it is important to note that for warranties to be valid, boilers must be registered within 30 days of installation and have an annual service. Your Gas Safe installer must also complete the Benchmark Commissioning Checklist and give it to the householder when handing over the boiler. If these guidelines are not followed, your warranty becomes void.

It is also important to remember that a warranty and guarantee are not the same things. If you are interested in learning more about the difference between a warranty and guarantee, we have this covered.

If you’re getting fed up with your boiler making strange noises and think that any more money put into fixing your boiler would be wasted money; then get a new boiler quote from WarmZilla. It’s hard to find experienced people about this topic, but you seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks

Thanks for the comment Julius. Boiler error codes is a pretty niche topic but we like to think we know the topic pretty well.
