Sime History

Sime was founded in 1972 in Legnago, Verona, Italy. For five decades, they’ve successfully delivered innovative and environmentally-efficient heating and hot water solutions. They now operate in Italy, UK, Spain and China, as well as distributors worldwide, in markets like North America, Chile and Australia.

In 1973, Sime produced a compact and efficient plate cast iron radiator – the first company to do so.

In 2002, Sime opened their first UK-based office to operate in the region.

With their reputation of reliability, durability and superb build quality, Sime domestic and commercial boilers became widely spread worldwide. Their heating and hot water products are in over three million homes worldwide.

Sime boilers are powerful, lightweight, compact and easy to install. Thanks to their advanced production systems and the highest quality brass and stainless steel components.

In 2014, Sime was the first to offer a hybrid wall hung unit that combined a gas boiler, heat pump and MEM control. Their aim is to reduce their carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

Sime boiler range

Murelle Revolution 30

The Murelle Revolution 30 is the first completely integrated boiler and heat pump in a single cased product.  Using an ErP A++ 30 kW Murelle boiler and sealed 4kW output heat pump, the Murelle Revolution 30 is a single unit that is installed inside and hung on the wall like a conventional boiler. The Murelle Revolution 30 can be installed by any registered Gas Safe engineer in a single installation, without the need for an additional F-gas-registered installer to be present and provides heat and hot water, achieving an average seasonal heating performance of 134%, granting A++ energy efficiency.

The boiler and heat pump work in tandem with the heat pump operating first. When the external temperature is higher than the minimum set value of -7°C the heat pump and the boiler will be activated in quick succession and when the setpoint is reached, the boiler will adjust power until the heat requirement is achieved. If the external temperature is higher than 7°C only the heat pump operates – the boiler is only activated when the desired temperature is not achieved by the heat pump on its own, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.

Benefits of choosing Sime boilers

Market leaders

Sime, the heating industry pioneer, has manufactured the most innovative products in the heating industry.

They were the first company to produce a compact and efficient plate cast iron radiator in 2014, and the first to produce and launch a hybrid wall-hung that has a boiler with a pump and MEM control.

Eco-friendly boilers

Sime’s mission is to reduce its environmental performance.

They work on reducing their carbon footprint during production processes, product design and packing. They’ve invested heavily in technologies and research to make their boilers as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising the heat output.

Variety of heating solutions

Sime offers a wide range of heating solutions; such as floor-standing boilers, wall-hung boilers, oil-fired units and solid-fired units, and their new range of high-efficiency gas boilers (Murelle boilers).

High-quality components

Sime’s boilers have great components – the parts they choose to put inside your boiler are made of the highest quality materials, they never compromise on anything that will reduce the life of Sime’s boilers and your heating experience.

Safety first!

Sime has reinvented the essence of having ample safety features with any boiler by having an adaptive gas valve that improves safety and reduces maintenance requirements and makes servicing the boiler easier.

Easy installation

Sime claims their easy to install and lightweight boilers can take as little as 10 minutes from “box to wall”. They come configured with DIN standard connections for quicker installation and a three-piece case for easier servicing and accessibility to all the parts.

Sime boiler problems and common faults

As with all appliances, over time, your boiler’s efficiency will naturally decline slightly, however, ensuring that your boiler has an annual service will help to prevent your boiler from suddenly breaking down on you, as well as expensive repair costs.

If your Sime boiler develops a fault, the corresponding fault code or error code will usually appear on your boiler. The fault code should help your heating engineer to identify and diagnose any problems with your boiler so that they can resolve them as quickly as possible.

If your boiler is displaying a fault code, our guide to Sime boiler errors and fault codes should help you find out what the code means.

Warning- Always follow the boiler manual instructions and even if you know what the fault code means, make sure that the repair is carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer.

Sime boiler warranty

A boiler is one of those household appliances that you don’t usually plan to buy.

You know you need a boiler and you know you will need it servicing, but it’s not a subject that gives you a huge sense of excitement until something goes wrong!

Warranty is one of the key factors we look for when purchasing a new or replacement boiler, and can often be the deal-breaker when it comes to choosing the right boiler for you. That’s why the Sime Murelle range of boilers offers a free warranty with each and every one.
