This article aims to cover all error codes and fault codes related to Vokera boilers so that you are able to identify any issues you may come across with your Vokera boiler.
Before we go into that, here’s some information about Vokera as a company. Vokera was established over 35 years ago and has bases in both the UK and Ireland. Vokera has a parent company called Riello Group which was founded in 1922, known for being a leading global provider of many other heating appliances.
In 2018, it was announced that Vokera was a finalist at the H&V News Awards in the Domestic Heating Product of the Year category. Marketing Director, Neil Mattock said, “It is a real honour to be a finalist for the H&V News Awards”. Vokera refers to itself as a leading manufacturer of heating appliances with an extensive range of great products to suit your needs, with a 99% reliability rate within the first 2 years of installation on all their products.
Now, let’s look at what customers think of Vokera.
Vokera as a company has 4.4 stars out of 5 ratings on Trustpilot, which seems great at first glance. However, they only have 1,406 ratings with 9% of these reviews being negative. This rating may seem good off the bat from a customer’s point of view, however, when compared to other boiler brand companies such as Worcester Bosch, which has 30k reviews, or Baxi, which has over 44k reviews, Vokera might represent more than of a risk.
Vokera promises that 100% of their boilers are tested before leaving the warehouse, so unless you’re one of the unlucky 1% that experience a breakdown in the first couple of years, chances are your Vokera is a bit older and has encountered a fault.
If your boiler is getting on in years or it’s not the first time it’s broken down and you think that any more money put into fixing your boiler would be wasted money; then get a new boiler quote from WarmZilla. It only takes a few minutes of answering some simple questions about your home and we’ll show you a list of boilers suitable for your heating needs.
With WarmZilla you can pay for your boiler using our boiler finance options. 0% APR finance is available over 2 years on selected boiler models. We guarantee to offer the cheapest combi boilers on the market. If you would like more information on the cheapest boilers on the market for 2021, we also have a blog to cover this!
Vokera offers a range of combi and system boilers with different kW options to suit different sized homes. Vokera is a budget boiler brand, so they are quite cheap but they aren’t as reliable as more premier boiler brands such as Worcester Bosch.
Now that you have a bit of background on Vokera boilers, let’s get into the Vokera boiler error codes. If you can’t find your fault code, we have also included a manual for every single Vokera boiler on the market, so we can make sure you get the information you are looking for!

Vokera Boiler Red Light On: Cause & Fix
Vokera boilers with a red light, that’s either flashing or on constantly, have a fault and will most likely lockout, leaving your home without heating and hot water.
There are many potential faults that could be causing this issue and you should hire a Gas Safe engineer to diagnose and fix the fault with your Vokèra boiler. However, my guide will get you closer to the reason why your Vokera boiler is showing a red light so that your heating and hot water will work once again.
Vokera Red Light Causes
Vokera boilers with constant green light and no red light mean there’s nothing to worry about and your boiler will provide heating and hot water as normal. However, should you see a red light on its own or alongside the green light then there could be a potential fault with your boiler.
Below, we’ve listed the issues that can cause various sequences of light you’re likely to see on your Vokèra boiler when it’s broken.
Red Light On and Green Light Off
A constant red light on your Vokèra boiler means that the unit has gone into lockout for safety reasons. Some of the possible faults behind this include:
- The boiler is overheating
- The pump isn’t circulating hot water around the central heating system or to the taps when required
- Potentially harmful flue gases aren’t being expelled due to an issue with the fan
Red and Green Lights On
If you’re seeing both red and green lights on your Vokera boiler at the same time, whether they’re remaining on or flashing, your boiler could have one of the following problems:
Has been left in service mode after a recent boiler service;
- Incorrect water pressure (either too low or too high)
- Heating temperature sensors are faulty
Flashing Green Light
A constant green light on your Vokera boiler is a sign that the flame within the boiler is working, and that’s what you want to see. Should the green light start flashing, that’s when there could be an issue to worry about:
- Faulty hot water sensor
- Boiler in standby
How to Reset a Vokera Boiler
A simple reset could be enough to stop your Vokera boiler from flashing red and get the unit working to heat your home and hot water again.
To reset your Vokera boiler, move the mode selector switch to the ‘OFF/RESET’ position and then move it back to either ‘hot water only’ or ‘heating and hot water’. Should this reboot get your boiler working again then you’ll know because there will be a constant green light. If not, you should hire a Gas Safe engineer to come out and take a look over your boiler.
Below is a complete list of Vokera boiler manuals that may help you a little further if your fault isn’t mentioned in one of the tables above, thanks to our friends over at freeboilermanuals.com for the Vokera Boiler Manuals.
