Baxi Boilers
Baxi boilers are solid mid-range boilers in a similar bracket to Ideal boilers. Both Baxi and Ideal are well thought of by the heating engineers that install them and both brands are considered quite reliable.
At WarmZilla we believe that Ideal has the edge over Baxi boilers as Ideal boilers are slightly cheaper and with WarmZilla your Ideal boiler comes with a massive 8-year guarantee. Baxi boilers come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty of 7 years on their standard boilers models, increasing to 10 years on the premium models.
Baxi offers a range of combi, system, and regular boilers. If you aren’t sure what boiler type you have, check out our blog, it’s important to know your boiler type before getting any boiler quotes.
Once you know what boiler type you’re looking for, you can use the WarmZilla boiler comparison function below. Just select up to 3 boilers you want to compare and you’ll be able to compare key stats side by side to see which Baxi (or another boiler brand) boiler is best for you.

It is important to ensure that your Baxi boiler is regularly serviced to keep yourself and others around you safe.
All appliances that burn wood or fossil fuels (such as natural gas) can produce poisonous Carbon Monoxide if they are not working properly, so it is important to keep your boiler in good condition to avoid any risks.
Having your boiler annually serviced also keeps your boiler warranty valid. Baxi warranty requires your boiler to be annually serviced by a Gas Safe Engineer. Failure to do so could not only invalidate your warranty but also lead to expensive repair bills on your boiler.
What will your Gas Safe Engineer will check during your boiler service?
- That your boiler has the correct gas pressure and flow.
- The flue and combustion. A flue gas analyser will be used to make sure the boiler is burning the right mixture of gas and air that your boiler flue is not blocked.
- Your electrical connections are clean and in good condition.
- That your fans and other key components are working efficiently.
- That your boiler seals are intact.
- Your electrodes are in good condition.
- That all safety devices are checked.
- That your condensate pipe and trap are not blocked.
- That your water and gas pipework is in working order.
Your Gas Safe Engineer should also inform you that if your boiler does not meet building and safety legislation and regulations during their checks.
As a guide, a boiler service should take at least half an hour and you should receive a full service report once your boiler service is complete.
