With an output rating of 15kW, the Ideal Logic Plus S15 is the least powerful system boiler in its range, however, don’t let this put you off, as this boiler is perfect for smaller homes with up to 10 radiators. However, if your home requires a higher demand for central heating, Ideal have designed the Logic Plus S18, S24, and the S30 for homes that need a larger energy output.
A system boiler is the best option for homes with higher demands for domestic hot water. This is because they store the water that is heated in a hot water tank so that it’s ready whenever it’s needed so that you have water ‘on tap’ (excuse the pun).
However, it is important to note that when purchasing a new or replacement system boiler, you will need to have the room in your home for an additional hot water storage cylinder. These are usually installed in an airing cupboard or similar size space in your home. For this reason, system boilers are not ideal for homes with limited space.
With an output rating of 18kW, the Ideal Logic Plus S18 is mid-range regarding power. But don’t let this put you off as this system boiler still packs a punch! The Ideal Logic Plus S18 system boiler is perfect for smaller homes with up to 10 to 15 radiators and a single bathroom. If your home requires a higher demand for central heating, Ideal have designed the Logic Plus S24 and the S30 for homes that need a larger energy output.
A system boiler is the best option for homes with higher demands for instant hot water. They are sometimes even preferred over combi boilers. This is because cold water from the mains supply is heated and then stored in a hot water cylinder until it’s needed. Thanks to this hot water cylinder, you can quite literally be provided with hot water on tap.
However with a system boiler, it is important to remember that you will need the space in your home for a hot water storage cylinder. These are typically installed inside an airing cupboard. For this reason, system boilers are not recommended for homes with limited space. Ideal has a great range of combi boilers available for those with smaller homes.
The Ideal Logic Plus range has slowly become a flagship range in the system boiler world.
The Logic Plus S24 is one of the most powerful in its range in terms of central heating, with an output of 24kW. If you are looking for a new or replacement boiler that doesn’t require as much power, Ideal also offer the Logic Plus S15 and S18 instead. Meanwhile, if your home demands a higher output then the LogicPlus S30 is also available.
Although the boiler unit itself is compact, perfect for installation in your standard kitchen cupboard, it is important to note that you will need to accommodate an extra hot water cylinder in your property. For this reason, if space is limited in your home, a combi boiler may be a better option for you.
The benefits of having a hot water cylinder are that the water is heated up and then stored once reaching optimum temperature. It is then ready to be used whenever you need it.
The Ideal Logic Plus range has slowly become a flagship range in the system boiler world.
The Ideal Logic Plus S30 has been deemed so efficient with a rating of 93% and an ErP A-rating, that it has been endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust. This system boiler could potentially help you to reduce your energy bills as well as your carbon footprint.
With an output of 30.3kW, this system boiler is best suited to larger properties with up to 20 radiators and 1-2 bathrooms. The Ideal Logic Plus S30 has the highest energy rating boiler in the Logic Plus range.
However, many homes do not require this amount of energy, therefore, if you feel that your home does not have this demand for central heating or hot water, Ideal also have the Logic Plus S15 (15kW), S18 (18kW) and the S24 (24kW), which could be better suited to your home.
System boilers are great for properties with a high demand for domestic hot water. This is because the water is heated and then stored in the hot water cylinder, ready for when it’s needed. It is important to note that when looking into purchasing a new or replacement system boiler, that you will need to accommodate for the cylinder alongside your boiler.
