WARMZILLA BOILER SERVICE

Keep your boiler running smoothly

Think of a boiler service as an annual MOT for your boiler. You wouldn’t want to drive your car thinking it might be unsafe, so make sure you get your boiler checked annually.

In addition to making sure your boiler is safe, you will also prolong the life of your boiler if you get it serviced annually and potentially avoid any expensive breakdowns. Getting an annual service is often required to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty.

Why should I get my boiler serviced?

Most manufacturer’s will only honour their warranty or guarantee on your new boiler if you can prove that you’ve had it serviced every year. Manufacturer’s offering long guarantees on their products can only do so if the boiler has been properly maintained over its lifespan.

Your boiler may be fine now but in the future it may break time due to an issue that could have been avoided with the ongoing maintenance and care that an annual boiler service provides.

It also provides you with the peace of mind in knowing your boiler is safe and performing as it should do.

It is illegal to take the cover off your boiler unless you are Gas Safe registered, so you cannot service your own boiler.

When it comes to ensuring the safety of your home, it’s worth making sure you have a professional to look at your boiler.

The main things that are carried out on a boiler service are:

  • Visual inspection
  • Check for corrosion and leaks
  • Ensure boiler seals are in good condition
  • Check gas/oil pressure
  • Test appliance to ensure the rate that the gas/oil is being burned is safe
  • Combustion analysis
  • Ensure correct operation of components and controls
