To tether or not to tether?
When you purchase an electric vehicle charger you will have the choice between tethered and untethered models.
Tethered chargers have the cable physically attached to the charger, untethered chargers don’t have a cable.
What kW charger do you need?
Just like boilers, EV chargers come in a range of kW power options. Generally, for domestic use around the 7 kW mark is the best balance.
It charges relatively quickly without needing you to change your electric supply to a three-phase system.
